Elementary School Newsletter 10.31.2022

Last week was heartbreaking for our community. I want to thank all of the families for the continued support as we navigate education in our current landscape. I appreciate the teachers and staff members for being diligent and focusing on the care of our kids. I appreciate the students for their ability to adapt and support each other. I appreciate the first responders who support our community. Keeping our kids safe is our number one priority, and we will work to ensure that we continue this priority and improve where necessary. I am confident that our mission of safety is being met and that it is due to the efforts and collaboration of everyone in our community that make it work.

Last Tuesday, campus leaders and counselors met in the morning to collaborate and facilitate resources to support our staff and our families. I have linked our counselors website as it has some valuable information for families. I have also linked two resources that are beneficial reading for families as well as educators.

Also attached to this newsletter are the Security FAQs that were sent out late last week in case you may have missed them. One more note about last week. We made the decision to cancel conferences and that was a tough one. We hope that many of you will still be able to connect with your child's teacher over the next week or so if you'd like to conference. They may be reaching out to you as well if there are specific things that need to be discussed. If you have any questions that I may be able to answer, please don't hesitate to reach out.
