Middle School Newsletter - March 29th, 2021
March 29
As we begin our final stretch of the year I would like to take this opportunity to thank you. Thank you for your understanding and grace this past year. Never, in my wildest dreams, would I have imagined we would still be living like this a year later. An entire year! It hit me over spring break that one year ago students, staff and families said goodbye to one another, unknowingly for good.
I think we can all agree that this time has been exhausting in so many ways. A year is a very long time to live with all of these restrictions. Restricted from doing the everyday things we took for granted like spending time with family and friends or going to work and school.
While I am really looking forward to the day when we can get back to a life without so many restrictions, I have learned a lot during this time. One of the biggest lessons for me has been to truly appreciate the little things in life. Little things like the sun shining, a friendly smile from a stranger, a hug from a loved one, and kids playing and laughing. When you don’t have any choice but to slow down your eyes are opened to the things that we often take for granted. I may still be exhausted but I am also incredibly grateful and hopeful. As I look out my window the sun is shining, flowers are blooming and there are kids playing outside. My hope moving forward is that I continue to cherish the little things as I now understand the little things are what really matter.
Once again, thank you for partnering with us this year. There is absolutely no way we could do this without your support. I know we are all looking forward to the day when ALL of our students are walking through our front doors. Until then please don’t forget we are still one big family. As always please don’t hesitate to reach out if there's anything you need.
Kindly,
Kim
