Elementary School Newsletter - November 15th, 2021
As we get closer to the holidays, I am reflecting on gratitude. Today I am especially thankful to all of the families. As a parent myself of a 4th grader and 2nd grader, I know how draining it has been over the past year and a half plus. Thank you for helping to make PCS such a great place for kids to be and I am so proud to be a part of it. Thank you all!
Veteran's Day: Thanks again to all our Veterans and the families who support them. Linked is a Veterans' Day Tribute video put together by Mrs. Wohlgemuth and the Middle School Student Committee.
Thanksgiving Break Childcare Survey: Please see the attached link for information regarding the week of Thanksgiving. We realize the addition of these two days off will be a hardship for some families and we are trying to find some support for those who will need that. Please respond to the survey by Tuesday 11/16 so we have an idea of how many families/students will need support.

Water Bottles/Cups: Friendly reminder to have your child bring a water bottle/cup to school! It is also helpful to label your child's bottle with their name on it so that it can be easily found. Drinking fountains are currently shut off per safety guidelines. Touchless water bottle fillers remain available for use in all buildings. Please reach out if you need assistance acquiring a water bottle for your child.
Panorama Survey: As we all work together to navigate our full return to in person learning this year, we would like to invite all of our families to provide feedback in the form of a short survey. You can complete the survey using the following link with the access code 8860041952. We have invited our students to provide feedback as well by completing a similar survey while at school. Thank you so much for taking a few minutes to complete this survey, your feedback is an invaluable part of our ongoing partnership.

Intruder Drill: We will have an intruder drill on the 18th of November at 9:15. It will last approximately 5-10 minutes but the campus will be locked down at that point so it is vital students are arriving prior to the drill. Our drills are very benign and involve NO scenarios with kids. The drill format is to "hide in place" and ensure all staff can be contacted and secured. The kids are asked to move away from doors and windows and be silent. Thank you for your cooperation.
Upcoming Dates:
Tuesday November 16th: Family Night at Smokin Barrels
Thursday November 18th: Intruder Drill for staff and students at 9:15am
Monday November 22th-Friday November 26th: Thanksgiving Break
Tuesday November 30th- Picture day make-ups.
Attached is a flyer for upcoming COVID19 Pediatric Vaccination Clinics.
Updated COVID numbers are attached below.
Thanks, everyone! Have a great week!
