Early Childhood Newsletter 10.2.2023
Dear PCS Families,
It is hard to believe that fall is officially here and we welcome the month of October! We have been very busy moving through the first quarter of school. Our students have completed all of the beginning of the year baseline assessments and have transitioned right into the routines of learning and having fun!
We will have our Fall Break beginning this week! There will be no school October 5-9. While it does not seem like we have been in school that long we know our students and staff are looking forward to a few extra days to enjoy the season. We will look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Tuesday, October 10th!
A Note from Nurse Abbie:
The Land of Smiles Dental Theater will be performing for our Early Childhood students on October 31st. They will be doing the performance at 2:30 in the afternoon. This a live and interactive performance, it will be centered around dental hygiene at an age appropriate level. This is a great educational resource and we're hoping that your students gain dental hygiene knowledge from this experience!
REMINDER:
Students are not allowed to attend school if they are "Non-Compliant" with their vaccinations starting on October 6, 2023. Please get these records to me as soon as possible!
My email is amangogna@premiercharterschool.org and my phone number is 314-645-9600 ext. 108.

Art Night:
Join us for a delightful evening of creativity and imagination at our Pre-K/First Grade Art Show on October 12th. Pre-K will be showing their art from 5:30-6:30 and First grade will be showing art from 5:30-7. Our young artists have been hard at work, crafting their masterpieces, and are excited to showcase their talents. Each child will have one piece featured in the Early Childhood building. It's a celebration of art, fun, and the limitless potential of our youngest learners. We can't wait to see you there! Kindergarten families are welcome to come view art but no Kinder art will be featured as we are preparing for our Winter Concert. (More details on that to come!)
Please reach out to Bryson Reid at breid@premiercharterschool.org if you have any questions.

Survey:
At PCS, we are all about growth. We love being a part of our students' growth as they go from kindergarteners just finding their way in the world to curious, empowered middle schoolers ready to take on whatever challenges life holds.
As a school, we constantly strive for growth as well. And the best resource we have to support our ongoing growth as a school is you and your children.
This week we are going to be asking our 3rd through 8th grade students for their input and feedback through our annual fall student surveys. We would also love to hear from you. This link will take you to our fall family survey. Please take a few minutes and give us your feedback. We will use what we learn from you as we continually strive to better meet the needs of our students and families. You can contact Dr. Schrimpf at mschrimpf@premiercharterschool.org with any questions.
