Elementary Newsletter September 19th 2022

This week marks the Fall Equinox. While the temperatures are still reminding us of those summer days, the sun sets a little earlier each day. This week will mark the  official end of summer and we enter a time of change for our season. It also marks a change in our school year. We are still building relationships and finishing initial baseline assessments, but are now engaging in richer curriculum and learning. I have been proud of the stakeholders of this building. Students have been working hard. Teachers have been going the extra mile to support our students. Families have been wonderful partners in this whole process. I am excited to see continued growth in the coming weeks!

Policy remindersThis was sent out last week, but please adhere to the following building policies:

  • At arrival time for the Elementary Building we are asking families to let their kids walk in on their own. You are able to enter the front to discuss something with the office or nurse, but to empower our kids to navigate their building while also alleviating congestion, we ask that you no longer walk your student to the cafeteria or classroom.

  • Please do not drop your kids off unattended before 8:00 in the morning. Our doors open at that time.

  • Please do not block or park in handicap spots. We need these spots to be clear for those who have tagged cars.
