Early Childhood Newsletter - January 18th, 2022

Dear PCS Families,

As mentioned last week, our focus in the Early Childhood building is on JOY.  Classes have been talking about what joy means and then sharing their answer to the question “What brings you Joy?”,  with the entire building!

 Check out some of the things they shared;

“When mom and grandma pick me up!” - Brittney

“Seeing my dog after school!” - Malakai

“Playing with my sister!” - Fawza

“Going to the waterpark with my family!” - Cami

“Sharing my toys!” - James

“My dad playing with me!” - Brody

“Playing outside!” - Aidom

Be sure to stop by our two Joy bulletin boards at pick up or drop off to see what your child and their classmates had to say.  We know they would love to share with you as well as hearing your answer to the question, “What brings you joy?”

We know that the first two weeks back from winter break have been a whirlwind!  Thank you for working with us and being understanding as we navigate through this current surge.  Many parents have inquired if we will be updating our policy, regarding quarantine days, to align more closely to the CDC and St. Louis Health Department guidelines.  This is something that we will be doing, but only after we get through the surge.  As you can see from our data we have seen a major spike in cases. Our hope is to revisit our policy at the beginning of February.  As always we will continue to keep you updated if any changes are made.

Upcoming Dates:

  • January 25 - Tornado Drill

  • February 17 - Earthquake Drill

  • February 18 - No School - Professional Development Day

  • February 21 - No School - Presidents Day

Have a great week! Please reach out if you need anything.

Kindly,

Jodi and Mary
