Rigorous, Relevant Instruction

We know academic rigor begins with authentic engagement. At PCS, we develop amazing, inquiry-driven learning experiences that weave together real-world skills from across disciplines so that students are actively engaged in their own learning.

Intentional Relationship Building

We know growth occurs through positive social interaction. We actively foster a school culture built on caring, trusting relationships - student-to-student, student-to-adult, and adult-to adult—so that everyone in our school feels respected, loved, and safe to learn from mistakes.

Holistic Character Development

We know students need more than academic skills to succeed in life. We cultivate well-rounded learners and future leaders by developing character in our students across four domains: moral, civic, performance, and intellectual.

Responsive Student Supports

We know all students have individual needs and interests. We take a developmental lens to our work, enabling our staff to tailor their approach to create learning environments that are inclusive, individualized, and responsive to the unique needs of every child.

Research-Based Practice

We know excellent education is grounded in data. At PCS, data is infused in everything we do. From how we teach our students to the way we develop our teachers, data informs our approach and drives continuous improvement over time.
